All student technicians receive a certificate upon completion of each course along with a concise course outline. These may be forwarded to ASTTBC in order to support applications to become a Registered Fire Protection Technician (RFPT)
We are working on expanding the course selection from the core five to a total of 12 courses, including BC Fire Code, BC Building Code, Canadian Electrical Code, Integrated Systems Testing and Fire Alarm Verification. Contact us to find out an ETA on these courses.
Send in your transcript and a course outline. If you've covered all of the required topics, you'll be given an exemption and this will be reflected on your Dragon Fire Academy transcript as well.
As noted in the electrical question, provide written proof of testing and these will be evaluated. It is recommended that the courses be completed as many codes and standards have changed over the last four years.
Unfortunately, courses for this are taught by manufacturers and most of them are several days long as well as on the East Coast of USA.
